The Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office Number 8 (DA RFO 8) is set to conduct more Farmer Field Schools (FFS) on Vegetable Production throughout Region 8. Each FFS on Vegetable Production will be conducted in 16 weeks where participants of 50 to 70 farmers per class will meet for one day per week. During the FFS class the farmers will be taught the ins and outs of vegetable production through participative and discovery method of learning. The DA RFO 8 will provide facilitators who will guide the farmers in the learning activity. It will also provide for the meals of the participants as well as t-shirt to be given to graduates.

Aside from providing livelihood to farmers, the FFS on Vegetable Production also aims to promote the sustainability of vegetable supplies in communities and thereby encourage consumption by the people.
