Food Lane Accreditation goes on at DA-RFO8 even on weekends

TACLOBAN CITY, LEYTE - To accommodate the increasing number of food suppliers/ truckers applying for foodlane conduct pass, the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office 8 announces that foodlane accreditation shall continue today and tomorrow (Saturday and Sunday).

This means, there will be a team headed by AMAD Chief Evelyn Mionda and Regulatory OIC-Chief Brenda Pepito that will oversee their normal operation in the issuance of Foodlane Conduct Pass. As such, interested foodlane suppliers and truckers who live nearby Tacloban suburbs are advised to visit the DA Regional Office located at Kanhuraw Hill, Tacloban City.

However, for those who are living far from Tacloban which is the regional center, you are advised to download application forms thru internet. You may do this by accessing this website: www.agribusiness.da.gov.ph.

Eligible applicants are those that are duly registered with DTI, CDA, DOLE or SEC; holding a valid business permit including nevessary permits from DA concerned agencies such as: BAI, NFA, SRA, NMIS, BFAR and PFDA).

Other documentary requirements are: (1) Official Receipt of Registration; (2) Certificate of Registration, and (3) Filled up foodlane reference form and sworn statement of commitments.

The heads of concerned agencies shall be the authorized signatories of Foodlane Accreditation and/or Foodlane stickers. The list of accredited foodlane suppliers will be provided to DILG/PNP and MMDA for proper dissemination to personnel manning the checkpoints to expedite inspections and to avoid hassles in passing thru foodlanes set-up nationwide.

So far, in a phone conversation earlier this morning, Ms Juby C. Realino, AMAD Staff, disclosed that as of yesterday (March 20), the DA-RFO 8 thru Regional Executive Director Angel C. Enriquez has already approved/issued 226 foodlane accreditation since the agency officially kickstarted its implementation on Thursday (March 19).
