RCI-SRD TWG is an interagency body composed of representatives from DA-DAR-DENR and DILG as major partner agencies. They are main responsible in ensuring that commitments of each concerned agency for the development of identified convergence areas are properly planned, implemented and monitored following agreements forged by the four partner agencies in collaboration with LGUs and other key stakeholders.

Dir. Elvira C. Torres, RCI-SRD Focal, and DA-8's Regional Technical Director for Research and Regulations spearheaded the conduct of the special meeting that lasted for at least 3 hours.

In her opening message, Dir. Torres expressed regrets that though DA-8 RED Angel C. Enriquez really wanted to "meet and greet" the TWG members, however, the RED is preoccupied with equally important engagement that includes the preparations for the upcoming budget hearing in Congress.

"Anyways, she's sending her appreciation for your presence despite the short notice," RTD Torres said.

Aside from recognizing the presence of Ms Mel Ong and Ms Pia Monina Lovete - longtime members of TWG from DAR and DILG, respectively, she also lauded the presence of a new member from DENR in the person of Mr. Romeo Abarquez, a former recipient of NCI-SRD's Masters Program. Also in attendance was Mr. Xandrix Pantin, representing LGU-MacArthur.

The main highlight of the meeting was the item for item review of the Abuyog CADP as presented by Mr. Francis C. Rosaroso, Head, Secretariat, while the MacArthur CADP was discussed by Mr. Pantin.
