Members of Barangay Dayhagan Small Farmers Association (BDaSFA) are engaged in small-scale peanut production as part of its crop rotation pattern. They have opted for peanut since it helps restore soil condition, along with their plan to shift on organic production. To further scale up the enterprise, the farmer group identified to venture in the production of peanut seeds and establishment of seedbank.
Alboco Food Industry is a peanut processor based in Tacloban City whose products are already available in some supermarkets, groceries, and specialty shops in the region. As it intends to expand in Cebu and Metro Manila, the Alboco Food Industry targets local producers as potential supplier for the lacking volume requirement. ###
