To gear up its game and ensure the efficient implementation of its programs and projects this year, the Research Division of the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office 8 (DA RFO-8) initiated a 3-day Planning-Workshop on Fiscal Management on January 18-20, 2023 at the Babatngon Experiment Station, Babatngon, Leyte.

 

Said event enjoined the participation of heads, report officers and administrative staff of the Research Division Management Coordination Office and the research stations. The planning-workshop, which aimed to harmonize the action plan of the division with its annual targets and deliverables, included a presentation on the 2023 annual targets, crafting of Project Procurement Management Plans (PPMPs), and the preparation of other pertinent procurement documents.

 

Futhermore, the program focal persons and station superintendents revisited the implementation of research programs, particularly the Balik Probinsiya, Bagong Pag-asa Program (BP2P) and the Yamang-Lupa Sustainable Community-based Action R4DE for Livelihood Enhancement, Upliftment, and Prosperity Project in Leyte, to address new and perennial bottlenecks in its operations. ###
