The Department of Agriculture - Regional Field Office 8 (DA RFO8), through the Farm and Fisheries Clustering and Consolidation (F2C2) Program, conducted a meeting with its technical working group and banner programs earlier today, February 24, 2023, at Hotel Consuelo, Tacloban City.

 

Regional Technical Director Larry Sultan and concurrent F2C2 Regional Focal, presented the targets of the program for 2023. Dir. Sultan stressed that the implementation of the F2C2 will have a big impact on the lives of farmers/fisherfolks and also to the economy. "F2C2 aims to attain economies of scale which will enable our farmers/fisherfolks/agripreneurs to earn more." he said.

 

“As we all know, the implementation of the F2C2 will help the farmers and fisherfolk focus on community production and processing in a coordinated value chain system”, Dir. Sultan further emphasized.

 

Meanwhile, Ms. Lor Fatima Bucatcat presented the plan and budget proposal for year 2024. Attendees was encouraged to identify the clusters of each commodity and in their respective localities. ###
