DA 8 Regional Executive Director, Andrew Orais, emphasized the importance of partnership between government agencies and the private sector, which are potential investors to the small scale farmers and the whole agri industry. “I hope we can design a business model, to encourage more partners in the private sector to invest in agriculture”.

 

Meanwhile, RTD Larry Sultan underscored the advantages of farm and fisheries consolidation and clustering. This strategy provides farmers and fisherfolk more access to loans and farm inputs.###
